Aunt Lissy's impressions so far: Vodka offered free for lunch at the Idiot, touring an elegant Palace, walking along the canals, observing the amazing amount of restoration going on, being surprised by a huge military parade practice in Palace Square, the wonderful meals, and Kate's amazing knowledge of this city and the culture of the Russian people.
